I talked to TR this week and he told me that last weekend he had his first official TR3 gig. He said it went GREAT. He has gotten together with 2 local guys from OBX and after only an "on the phone" rehearsal they pulled off what TR called an "amazing gig". He was very excited and feels he has found the new incarnation of TR3. He is hoping to take it on the road in the not too distant future. TR said they even did an amazing Prince cover that nite. Wish I could have been there. When I told TR that he assured me I would have a chance to see it soon. I will take that as a good sign for the future.

Quite right my dear brother, but the way you've phrased it, wouldn't that be WHETTED?

I suppose, though, since you just had a birthday, I'll give you a bye.

I would assume electric since that is the kind of band that TR3 has always been. Check out the Puke Matrix Tour release or some of the shows on Archive.org for some older TR3 action.

Electric.

I highly recommend that you listen to the '88 recordings in the other thread:

Albion........too easy.

More trivia.....Nigel Tufnel was based on which two musicians who were part of the same group? Bonus: What was the name of the group?

Apparently, they played again this weekend at the Outer Banks Brewing Station gig. First TR did a solo set and was then joined by the boyz. I am told it was another sold out, packed house! Man I can't wait to see this! Still haven't heard if the first one was recorded but when I advanced this show the soundman told me he was going to record so hopefully there will be audio at least. TR said they performed a King Crimson song and apparently one of the other members does a wicked Adrian Belew on vocals. Man, consider my apetite WHET!(yes that is the RIGHT spelling Teri: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/whet%20your%20appetite.html)

Harry Shearer was on Bill Maher the other nite and they introduced him as one of the founding members of Spinal Tap. I though given his lengthy resume that they chose that as his single most achievement worthy of mention was AWESOME! Derek Smalls RAWKS!Imagine him in TR3...small trivia question....What is Derek Smalls MIDDLE name?

Yeah, I know that there have been more than one previous lineup in TR3...but Mark II works with the whole Spinal Tap reference.

This is so exciting! Can't wait for a TR3 tour!

Speaking of tours, I was totally bummed when I read TR will be in Trenton in Dec. It's closer for me to get there than any of the Philly shows, but I have a class that night and CAN'T miss it. It will either be my last class before finals or the final. It's a class on Terrorism and Political Violence and the professor is one of the hardest at the University. A friend had him for another class and over half the kids ended up dropping out because he was so hard! (Kind of makes me wonder what I got myself into, LOL)
