Nature mag special on birds .. in bikinis By MARK BOWNESS
FANS of National Geographic are in for a treat — with a sexy SWIMSUIT edition of the scholarly magazine.
The journal famed for its nature photography explores raunchy new territory in a lads’ mag-style special issue this month.
Gorgeous model Hanna Hobensack graces the cover wearing three strategically placed SHELLS to save her modesty.
And in place of bare-breasted native women so beloved by sniggering schoolboys, the inside pages feature scantily-clad stunners.
Editor-in-chief Bill Allen said of the idea to focus on 100 years of swimsuits: “We wanted to have a little fun.”
National Geographic’s fans are mainly students and academics.
Mr Allen insisted the swimsuit issue was educational.
He said: “We learned a lot about the culture of people and water and the changing interplay of fashion and flesh.”
They then go on to speculate at other magazines that might follow suit(no pun intended):

Posted - 02/09/2003 : 01:57:26 AM I never looked at the National Geographic for that reason. I guess that means I'm gay. Great. I never thought that this was going to be how I found out. D'oh well....I guess I should tell my parents now. |

Posted - 02/08/2003 : 10:34:43 PM I am guessing EVERY guy did it, and if he says he didn't, he is either a liar or gay. Those would be the only exceptions I can think of. Oh wait, or blind. |

Posted - 02/07/2003 : 06:04:08 AM Maybe the NG is educational....by a weird stretch of the imagination, but I would sure get some flack if I took that to work for the kids to look at..........geeze, like I am not already dealing with raging hormones! (the kids, not mine, hehehe) |
