Music from RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's final two shows will be released on CD and DVD as Live at the Olympic Auditorium on November 18th. The set, recorded September 12-13, 2000, was scheduled for release in November 2000 but was shelved after frontman ZACK DE LA ROCHA quit the group, allowing the remaining members time to regroup as AUDIOSLAVE

Posted - 12/10/2003 : 4:21:24 PM I watched it last night and it was great. It was amazing to watch how much energy they performed with, even on their last show. If nothing else, it is worth it for the bonus footage from their concert outside the democratic national convention. The very last thing they show is an interview with the police cheif saying they handled the situation well (situation being a crowd that didn't disperse after the show), and that noone was harmed... to which a reporter responds by saying the she personally was physically forced off the road by 15 officers... and the captain says "well maybe you should have gotten out of the way, NEXT QUESTION". |

Posted - 12/10/2003 : 3:56:12 PM I love Rage...But honestly, they're too "Fuck everybody!" for me...I mean, protest songs are cool, but damn...Anyway I love the music they put out over the years, and I think I'm gonna get this... |

Posted - 12/09/2003 : 3:58:03 PM Just a reminder for anyone interested: The Live at the Olympic Auditorium DVD was released today, and should be quite cheap. I know we are selling it for $12.99 I'll be going to buy mine after I take my Sociology final this afternoon. |

Posted - 10/29/2003 : 4:01:12 PM Flea- thanks SO MUCH for posting that, I've been looking everywhere for more info on both the live releases as well as the Zach, solo cd. That's is the first I've seen of any kind of a date for release. Hopefully it will be earlier in 2004 as opposed to later. |

ZACK DE LE ROCHA Weighs In On RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Live CD/DVD - Oct. 28, 2003 Former RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE frontman Zack de la Rocha has emerged from hiding to weigh in on the band's upcoming CD and DVD, "Live at the Olympic Grand Auditorium". "After watching both the Olympic Grand Auditorium and the Democratic National Convention concert footage, I can think of no other moments in all of our 10 years as a band that captured the intensity and the intent of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE," the singer told MTV.com. "These moments belong to our fans as much as they belong to history." The concert CD will come out November 25 and the DVD will follow December 9. De la Rocha plans to release his first solo album in 2004.

No, none, zero seriously, I look all the time and can't find anything on it. Zach's website hasn't been updated since they released that March of Death song. I signed up for his mailing list, but haven't gotten a single email. So last I heard, Zach, Trent, and DJ Shadow were in the studio working on the cd. |
