It did look pretty impossible. But it made me super nostalgic.
I think a friend of mine has a super nintendo in her basement somewhere. I used to house it in my dorm room. Maybe she'll sell it to me.

Is it me, or did he seem to reach full acceleration a little toooooo fast and stay accelerated a little toooooo long as well?
Some of the 1up jump chains were neat though. |

Allow me to spoil the fun...
I found a translated version of this guy's website. The video was captured off an emulator. He was running the game at 1/30th speed and did frequent saves so he could go back and do a level again if he died or screwed up. The video captured at full rate so you don't notice the slowdown.
Also, I speculate he had Game Genie codes turned on as well...look at 2:43 in the movie, you can see that one of the wrenches goes right through him. |

I saw this video about a week ago.
It's amazing. If I can get ahold of an NES,
I wanna try this guy's technique on world 1
at least...
I swear I beat SMB I in like 10 minutes or so.
That's only because I flew through 8-3 and 8-4
without dying which is nearly impossible for me.

was it their first time playing zelda ocarina of time? because it takes longer the first time. once everything's figured out on teh 2nd time through it takes about 2 hours.
zelda oot is the single best game i have ever played. nothing rivals it. nothing. |

That's absolutley crazy! I was surprised anyone can be that good, but I wanted him to swim under that ship that's in the lava in the 8th world. I didn't think it was possible to get that many extra lives like that. |

I've seen videos of Asian kids beating Zelda on the Nintendo 64 in like 1 hour 45 minutes.
And someone beating Donkey Kong for the Super Nintendo 100% in 45 minutes! |
