If any of you are into old blues, this man is awesome! If you're not into old blues, I'd highly recommend the entire genre...There's something really great about it...just the fact that it came from poor and oppressed people and is so soulful...It's magical...Anyway, Fred McDowell used a steak bone as a slide, he's one of the most influential blues players of all time...He taught Bonnie Rait how to play, which is curious...

I love Son and Skip James, they are two of my favorites...Actually, I was just listening to Son as I mowed my grandma's lawn...

Son House, Mississippi John Hurt, and Skip James are good too; can't say that I've heard Mississippi Fred McDowell, though.
