Posted - 05/27/2004 : 04:05:25 AM As of February of this year, he's officially a POW. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has visited him with a doctor and an interpreter and haven't made any complaints.
Other than that, I've heard nothing.
On a similar note, apparently the ICRC has complained about Abu Graib: "In the specific case of Abu Ghraib, the ICRC has - to the best of its knowledge - been granted unimpeded access to all detainees and all sections of the prison since last year. The ICRC, aware of the situation in Abu Ghraib, and on the basis of its findings, has repeatedly requested the US authorities to take corrective action." |

Posted - 05/26/2004 : 2:05:42 PM Well I was wondering the same thing as I hadn't heard anything about the proccess of the trial and all. I did a search and I didn't come up with any current news on the trial. My guess is the media let's it pretty much disappear and the trial is kept out of public view. They wouldn't want Saddam talking about any of his dealings with the US. Sadly he could probably supply info to expose the relationships between our two countries. The trial means nothing though when you have leaders in our government that should be held accountable for war crimes calling for justice to be done to Saddam.
Here's a pic you've probably all seen but I like it...
