Bubba Ho-Tep is by far one of the best movies I have seen this year. Bruce Campbell does such a fantastic job as Elvis, you completely forget that it is Bruce, he becomes Elvis. And Ossie Davis as JFK is amazing too.
I've been meaning to rent that one. (I just added it to my NetFlix list!)
Others I'd recommend are: -Cube -Cube 2 -Two Girls and a Guy
I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of right now, so I'll add them later. |

How can one recommend a Michael Moore film when it hasn't even come out yet? Then again, how can one recommend a Michael Moore film at all? He has no credibility.
I TOTALLY AGREE!!! The man makes stuff up. I might be less critical if he admitted his work was fiction, but he doesn't. |

Posted - 06/05/2004 : 6:57:39 PM I'd recommend Down By Law and Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch...Both are great stories, really entertaining... Big Lebowski is great, too...
Try to see this movie called Dead Alive...It's made by the LOTR guy, but it's the goriest and funniest zombie movie ever created, you will laugh your ass off...

Seems as though you like movies that take place in Europe, so I'd throw Ronin in there and even the Bourne Identity as 2 entertaining ones that take place over there.
I saw Pi listed... I personally hated it. Thought it was a waste. Mulholland Drive... I agree that you have to pay attention, otherwise it'll end and you'll be thinking, "What the hell did I just watch?" and you'll end up searching for a plot explanation on the internet. Also saw Requiem For A Dream... I thought it was an excellent movie, while at the same time I didn't enjoy watching it. Show it to kids. It would make the ultimate anti-drug campaign. Kids would be deathly afraid of drugs by the time they get exposed.
Oh yeah... seasons 1 and 2 of 24... hump 24. |
