Posted - 06/16/2005 : 01:46:20 AM WOW!!! Just got back from the movies and that was amazing. Granted, I'm definatley partial because one of my fondest memories was my brother-in-law taking me to see the first Batman movie in the theatre and it quickly became my favorite movie ever. The new one is great. very different from the Tim Burton style, but it does a great job of explaining everything. Not to mention the acting is great, especially Michael Caine as Alfred. Thank god this looks to be the resurection of Batman!! |

Posted - 06/21/2005 : 2:31:45 PM saw it twice fucking money!!!! gold jerry, gold!!!! best comic book adaptation ever... too bad superman is going to gay up the DC comics movie line
superman wears red and blue, not maroon and blue. gay ass shit
i don't think it is fair to compare keaton and bale b/c they are different movies, but imho the storyline for bale's bruce wayne/batman is by far better than the original.
by the way............................. this movie makes spiderman look like a pussy |

Posted - 06/20/2005 : 7:03:08 PM Saw it yesterday and it is absolutely great. If you like Batman as a character, put any preconceptions aside and see it. It's easily one of the best, if not THE best comic book movie I've ever seen. |

It's a shame too, Christian Bale would've been great in a darker film more akin to the first Batman...but oh well. Another Hollywood comic book debacle to be turned loose; are we really that suprised?
Wow, you know all of that just from seeing the previews? |

Posted - 06/18/2005 : 11:14:57 PM Well I saw most of this movie. I had to be at work at 5 and the movie started at 2:45 so I figured I'd be out of there with just enough time to spare. I didn't take into consideration the length of the god damn previews, though, it took at least 45 minutes just for the movie to actually start. Man I was pissed about that.
I'll mose likely see again some other time just to see the end. |

Posted - 06/18/2005 : 2:44:31 PM Well, between the positive reviews I've read online and a friend of mine saying it was amazing. I'll probably see it tomorrow. |

Posted - 06/17/2005 : 08:37:46 AM I'll probably go see it tonight. I'm hoping it's good. I've heard from a few different reviewers that Bale is a better Batman than Keaton, which I find very hard to believe. The Batman movies really started sucking after Batman Returns, or if you want to get technical, the started sucking after the first Batman movie. I only give returns credit because it was still Keaton, and still pretty dark and fucked up. |

After American Psycho and The Machinist, maybe he was happy not to be *too* dark.
I'm going to see the movie at our "original language" theater on Tuesday. I'm looking forward to it! I love Christian Bale. |
