Posted - 06/16/2005 : 4:57:19 PM bad things happen. sometimes because we're just not thinking. i figured i'd start a thread whereby people can share stories about times they accidently said or done inappropriate things. here are mine.
when my jewish friend's mother died, i helped with the catering for after the funeral. and i accidently ordered a ham and cheese sub.
i was at work and a blind man came through. it was a beautiful day and he said "you're stuck in here. i won't tell you how nice it looks outside." i responded, without thinking "yeah, it really looks nice out there with those new trees."
the owner of the place i work at died in 2002. not that much time went by, and a low level manager told me to do something. she was about my age and doesn't take her job seriously, so i told her "yeah? who died and made you boss?" and then i rememered and said not "i'm sorry" or "oops" but "oh yeah." |

Posted - 06/27/2005 : 12:07:45 PM I was at the grocery store one day, and those new mini pop cans had just came out. So my friend and I were making fun of the cans calling them midget cans, and making jokes about it. Now I have seen about 3 midgets in my entire life, and that day one walked around the corner, and she was pissed. |

Posted - 06/26/2005 : 11:38:12 PM We were in the pool at a hotel late at night, and my friend quoted dave chappelle saying, "I hate naggers!" when a black security guard turned the corner to make sure no one was in the pool. ... |

Posted - 06/16/2005 : 7:43:11 PM I dont know if youve heard the term JAP before, but it stands for "Jewish American Princess/Prince". It describes the stereotypical Long Island teen, LI being two counties in NY. I was talking to my friend about this, and called someone a JAP...
... without first realizing that my friend AYUMI, a JAPANESE girl, may take offense to it.
I imeadiatly explained myself so she wasnt pissed, but that was a ball squeezer for sure. |
