Hey Patrick, I don't think you are in school there but I figured you may have friends who might have been involved. I hope you are safe and all is well. Let us know you are OK!

Hey Pam, sorry, I dropped the ball. Right after your email Patrick posted a review on the RCMH thread. I figured you saw it, guess not, but all is well with him, short of him having very little sleep. Read his review, all the details are there.

Patrick, where are you????? I haven't heard from you since you left my house Monday morning. I keep thinking you are OK and I am being stupid for worrying, but I know you had little sleep and a long road trip plus work.

If you look at the message board PLEASE write something, a review, anything, to let me know you are still alive and well!

Yeah, I mean some of best friends went there from high school, they are all graduated now, but it helps put into perspective that one of your loved one's could have been killed by a jealous psychopath.

Unthinkable, still...

One of my bosses just came out here this year from that area and I believe he got his Bachelor's there. As a college student and a especially as an RA, this kind of stuff always gives me pause. Glad to hear all of your friends are doing okay, hope the community as a whole can get through this trial.

Prayers and good vibes to all...

Thanks for the concern Fluffy. I've been out of school for a while now, but I do have friends at VT. One of them was actually stopped by my house yesterday on the drive from Warrenton to Blacksburg and wanted me to go with him down there to see a piano quintet. I didn't though.

I woke up this morning and the first person I talked to was my grandfather who asked me if I had any friends at VPI, which didn't click cuz no one calls Tech VPI(Virginia Polytechnic Institute). Then I turn on the TV and hear the horrible news and immediately had to phone my friends to make sure they were ok. Friend #1(aforementioned buddy) - straight to voice mail. Friend #2 - picked up and was fine and had checked in with everyone else except friend #1. But then shortly later I heard from Friend #1 and he was fine too. Neither of them know anyone was who hurt. However I imagine very soon we'll all be hearing a lot of second hand accounts. I've already heard a couple.

So really in a way today was a good day for me. I was never so happy to hear from my friends. Still kinda spaced out about it. Today I feel much the same way as I did on 9/11. There's something different about the having the tragedy just down the road though. People were being operated on in the hospital where I was born.
