When does anyone think Tim will release a new album? There's been a lot of talk about recording new tunes in interviews, and he's been playing so many new songs recently.

For me...the sooner, the better...

Like all those great acoustic songs he was playing in 2007. Did they fall off the planet?

I'm such an ungrateful prick.

I would love to hear some of those songs recorded...did he write that one "Truth"? That one is sooo good :D

I'd love a new acoustic album too, even an online only release like ID or Petroglyph. I really love the song Hands Full and wish I could get a quality recording of it.

Kewl.
Ranting Thespian Posted - 01/13/2008 : 10:49:11 PM
What also would be a kewl idea, Tim and Friends cd (yes, ripping off Dave's very uninspired name ). A whole album of his friends guesting on tracks. Such as Dave, Peter Griesar, Mike Soko, Greg Howard, and tons more.

Another kewl idea would be a cover album. He does so many fucking kewl and original covers on just his acoustic. Think about a cover album with him doing all the instruments for various songs.

Neither of them will probably happen, but it would be kewl.

exactly, i remember back in 06 i think, Tim had 2 cds worth of new material he had recorded at home.
Hopeful Rolling Waves Posted - 01/12/2008 : 10:05:32 AM
I think its 'antsy' and yeah, he has time for that. <SARCASM>
Ranting Thespian Posted - 01/11/2008 : 6:31:39 PM
I think what would be kewl if Tim would just jam for a while at home, randomly record it, and just put it up here. Keep us from being so ancy for a new album.

Hey, Gnome, give it a rest. TR will put out the album when he's good and ready. You can't hurry greatness.

I've been patient for nearly 1.5 years. I can't be patient anymore. Radio City held me over for a bit...and TR3 is helping...but I really need some of the new (now not-so-new) songs on an album.

What's the deal?
Ranting Thespian Posted - 02/12/2007 : 02:04:11 AM
I WANT A NEW ALBUM! I'LL SUE TIM IF I DON'T GET IT BY FRIDAY!

RT, I think Sigur Ros already beat you to the punch to that idea, their album ( ) is pretty much like that. Good album too.
Ranting Thespian Posted - 09/28/2006 : 12:43:24 AM
How about an album with no name, no tracklisting, nothing. All one track too. You don't know when a song ends or begins, and you don't have any names.

It would be like one huge trance of Tim. Leave out all the material stuff, all the visuals, and just have it Tim's music. Just a clean Jewel Case, and the cd to have just a white or such top.
KevinLesko Posted - 09/27/2006 : 2:54:26 PM
I seem to remember asking Tim about it in CA last time, and he mentioned that the working title was no longer "Arroyo", but I don't remember what it changed to.

here is some food for thought.......

how many songs do you think TR has recorded that didn't make the cut for an album release? how many songs do you think Tim has played around with at home and never put on an album?

i mean look at all the albums 2Pac has put out since his murder. though the situations are different, and Tim isn't writing a lot of songs to try and get out of a record deal, but mosts artist record more songs then what made an album cut.

I think Fluffy should provide the playlist...at the very least. You can't expect to whet our curiosity and then leave us all hanging!

I really might not be able to wait for the new album...
Ranting Thespian Posted - 09/26/2006 : 10:33:35 PM
What do you think about the new DMB album schedueled for next spring? Think any appearnce from Tim?
Arthen Posted - 09/26/2006 : 7:53:55 PM
Don't count on Doom being on the new album. It's been around since 2000/2001 and hasn't yet been recorded. I'd hope for Che, but nothing's ever certain...

bliss is ignorance.
gnome44 Posted - 09/26/2006 : 11:43:20 AM
In this case, ignorance would be bliss...

Having no knowledge of the existance of the CD would have made the wait for it's release more bearable. Now that I know it's out there...and so, so close...makes it almost painful...

So it definitely looks like a CD exists...and it sounds that (until yesterday) it's pretty much done. I think that TR should make this first-cut CD available to those on the Message Board...and then he can make whatever changes he wants and re-release it later. I assure you that I'd buy it again.

I would have preferred to not know that the CD was complete...ignorance is bliss...

ignorance is not bliss, that sounds more like negligence.

Not sure about that, especially after today. As we drove to Boulder we played the new CD for Marcus and as we listened we all noticed how much the songs have already morphed with each subsequent performance. TR mentioned that he may have to rerecord some tracks as the more refined versions he is now playing are the versions he would rather have out there. He said some of those were recorded just after he had finished writing them and he was still reading lyrics off of paper for some of them. The subtle nuances of some of them are quite different than the first versions he recorded for the current version of the CD. Will let you know more as soon as I have more information.

I am also wondering of the upcoming DMB album. They said there were going to many guests this time around. Will Tim show up again? I know he's kewl with the band, just time constraints and if Tim is recording, and how Tim feels about Baston's abilities (not knocking him, but he's a long way from Lillywhite)

(also, don't let this get into a Baston sucks thread, and why don't they go back to Lillwhite, ok folks ;) . . . maybe I am being parinoid due to dmb messege boards, lol!)

I am assuming Doom will be on Tim's new album, and so would Che. I suspect Tim will get something done by the Spring of next year. If not a released album, but a download one like Id.
