WHAT???? No High heels???? That would not fly in LA. |

As for the "rule" I would like to convey a story from the old 9:30 Club. Let me preface it with the fact that we never instituted a "rule" concerning this but you can see why it would be dangerous.
It was a Butthole Surfers show which at the TIMe attracted a very diverse group of folks. I was working security that nite & as I made my way thru the front room I noticed a "blood trail" leading back thru the bar & heading down the stairs to the basement bathrooms. More specifically the girls bathroom. When I peered in the door(which I liked to do often hehe) I saw a girl standing with her foot in the sink & blood everywhere. She had been wearing Birkenstock sandles(yes, hippie girl) and during a crowd surge the girl in front of her who was wearing stiletto heels lost her balance & fell backwards & trying to catch her balance drove her stiletto heel thru the top of the foot of the girl in the birks. Yes it came out the bottom. YIKES! We always encouraged proper footwear for these exact kinda reasons. Crowded club.....DUH! But we never had a "rule" concerning it.
Now I can only suspect that something similar or even kewler, what was suggested above about a girl gouging out a guys eye happened in this club and somehow someone decided that the club was somehow responsible & was sued & so to avoid future "liability" issues they enacted the "rule" so as not to be liable in the future. Of course this is all just speculation on my part but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts thats how it happened. |

that would be sick if TR played a show in heels... i mean he played one in diaper before.. TR in high heels ftw!!!
