I bought it this morning, went to class, and just finished watching it five minutes ago. This makes me all the more jealous that I missed out on the tour. It was truly an amazing show, and the "Father, Son" at the end had me in tears.

Pick up a copy of it as soon as you can. I got it for $16!

I'd have to say it is better than Secret World Live.

Arthen, Kevin IMed me today that he got his copy and was blown away by it! Would you believe I went to my local Best Buy and they were sold out of it! The guy said they would be getting more tomorrow so I will go back and see. I sure hope he wasn't just saying that.

Don't worry, it is well worth the wait. I hope they relase the audio on CD, I want to listen to it in my car!

Is there a way to take the audio from a DVD?

Yes indeed, the DVD is the BEST DVD CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! It is actually shot as a movie. The sound and picture are far superior to anything I've seen before. I really am in awe over this release.

Arthen, if you have a DVD drive on your PC and a program called "Total Recorder" you might be able to make .wav files of each song. It'd be a hassel, but it could be done.

I'd hate to have to resort to taking it off the DVD, one way or another. I'll just hold out hope that they release it on CD, like Secret World Live.

I still can't get over the wonder and beauty of it all. That guy during "In Your Eyes" who did the mini solo on that instrument! I don't even know the name of it, but it was cool!

Ok it was a line the guy was using yesterday. I went to Best Buy today and still no PG DVD! The guy today said no one should have told me they would be getting more in today because they never know when they will get more of anything in! So I gave up and ordered it on Amazon. I got it for the $14.99 plus @ $3 Shipping but hey at least I know I will get it!

DAMN BEST BUY!

While we are on the topic, has anyone picked up the new "HIT" cd from Peter. I'm passing on it right now because I pretty much have every one of Peter's cds so I have most of those songs already, but eventually I'd like to get it because it looks to have one new track, and a few alternate mixes. Does anyone have it? Is it worth getting if I already have everything?

I bought it. I had downloaded a number of his songs off of the internet, so I figured I'd buy it. It has the Downside Up from the DVD on it. And I like it, but if you have most of the songs I'd say it isn't a necessary purchase.

Just got my DVD and it blew me away! I thought after reading your review Kevin, that I might be expecting too much, but it was all you said and more! Here Comes The Flood gave me chills, what a way to start off the show! Start to finish, best musical DVD I've seen. The sound quality is amazing! I am just thrilled with it! I already watched it several times!

Like you, I am passed up on the cd for the same reasons. Arthen's comments helped me to realize it was a smart decision.

I just received the DVD The Closing of Winterland by the Grateful Dead. I haven't had time to watch it yet. Now that would be hard to compare to PG's DVD because the music is so different. Still I am looking forward to watching it.

PG's DVD was totally energizing!

Okay, let's expand on the topic now that the three of us have seen it...

Favorite song off of it?

It's really hard for me to pick...I'm gonna watch it again tonight, so I'll post my choice later.

Another quick question for the people who were lucky enough to go to the PG tour!

Was "Games Without Frontiers" the slower version or the original version?

Off hand I can't pick a favorite. I am still so blown away by the quality of the sound and the entire video. I am going to watch it again and think about the songs more and I will let you know what I think then. I am not sure I will be able to come up with a favorite. As I said, Here Comes The Flood gave me chills, and Father/Son is one of my favorites. Darkness was very cool as well. I always liked Digging in the Dirt and In Your Eyes and they did an outstanding job with both!

I definitely understand where you are coming from!

I love watching The Barry Williams Show, such a great song, and the way they build it up at the end, and then he says: "Go to hell." It's like, every time I start to watch it I pick out songs at the beginning that could be my favorite, but as the concert goes on I pick out five more.
