Destiny's Child
quote: After a lot of discussion and some deep soul searching, we realized that our current tour has given us the opportunity to leave Destiny's Child on a high note, united in our friendship and filled with an overwhelming gratitude for our music, our fans, and each other.
Phish:
quote: Last Friday night, I got together with Mike, Page and Fish to talk openly about the strong feelings I've been having that Phish has run its course and that we should end it now while it's still on a high note. [...] By the end of the meeting, we realized that after almost twenty-one years together we were faced with the opportunity to graciously step away in unison, as a group, united in our friendship and our feelings of gratitude.

It's the same thing in relationships. If you are trying to break up in an admirable fashion there isn't much you can say that would seem out of the normal formula. I did think it was funny they both refered to ending on a high note though.

The only difference is that I liked Phish. Trey's a fucking asshole though.

I've only heard a little bit of Trey's new stuff so I don't know very much about it, but from what I saw I was asking myself, why the fuck did he want phish to breakup when all he was going to do is make the same type of music Phish did only worse with a new band?

I'm sure that the people that write statements that bands, artists and celebrities give to the press/public would all be pretty similar. It's not like the band/artist is ad libbing anything.

Because he is a dirty, stinking asshole. He can play guitar amazingly, but he's a big shit head. Like Tony Rice. That's one of the reasons I like Tim as much as I do, because he is humble, sincere, and one awesome and kind human being. |

Well I've heard he is, but I've never met him or anything, but I will say that there is no way he's even close to as cool as Tim because it's an impossibility.

I've heard a lot of people say that Trey is an asshole. I tend to wonder how he got along with others, including TIM, on the Dave & Friends tour.
