So, I go to a concert with Kris and her sister thursday. We go to see Ben Taylor, who I rave about all the time. I get there early enough to be at the start of the pay line, and she gets there short after. I waited before she came about 15-20 min, and then she got there and we waited another 45 min while the other band finnished and they tried to clear the first crowd out... problem was, they didnt clear anyone out. So Kris and I go to the back side where there are some seats, and Kris takes one. shes told by another woman "we're expecting someone who reserved that seat, so we're going to need it when she comes". So Kris at this point is really flustered and frustrated, to the point where she was probably going to snap at the woman next to her, when I lean over and whisper to her...
"... hon, you're sitting next to Carly Simon".
It was pretty funny. Well, I just decided to crash on the floor right there anyway, and it just so happened I was sitting next to not only Carly Simon, but Ari Hest (our feet were practicly touching, it was that close). cool deal. Great show, too, Ben, Sally Taylor, and Carly did a James Taylor song together, which was beautiful
Top it off with the fact that we walk out of the place just to see Adam Duritz walking into the club next door  |
