As far as I know it's very hard to get on those shows you mentioned unless you're top tier and considered a serious candidate. Why would the networks that are keeping certain candidates out of debates invite them to be on late night TV? Kucinich has been campaigning throughout the country for for quite a while.
The problem isn't his trying it's that a vast majority of people in the country react to him like he's a third party candidate. Which is why once again the people should not elect the president, or their states electoral college more precisely. I've met Kucinich twice. He has campaigned actively and is ten times more accessible then the "top tier" candidates. |

Kucinich Files FCC Complaint After Being Barred from Debate
Democratic candidate Dennis Kucinich filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission over his exclusion from the debate. Kucinich pointed out that ABC’s parent company Walt Disney had contributed to the campaigns of the four candidates invited. Former Senator Mike Gravel was also excluded from the debate.
Oh and not related but interesting...
GOP Pulls Sponsorship of Debate to Protest Exclusion of Ron Paul
Meanwhile, the Republican Party pulled its sponsorship of Sunday night’s debate on Fox News because the network had excluded Texas Congressman Ron Paul. Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani was invited to the debate even though he lost to Paul in Iowa.

Just reading my post again, I don't want to fight or anything, and if I ticked off anyone, I am sorry. Just wanted to post that. And the things I said is from what I have seen, I don't know everything. I could be wrong on some of my points. |

Fighting and debating are two different things, the mere mention of politics sparks debate, like it or not. |

Another thing outside media. Kucinich has about $335,000 in cash now for his election. Clinton has around $50,494,937 and has raised in total over $90 million in comparison to Kucinich's $2 million. How can he compete when someone has funds like that behind them? |

-from the Los Angeles Times:
A judge in Nevada has just ordered MSNBC to include Rep. Dennis Kucinich in Tuesday's Democratic Party presidential debate in Las Vegas or he will cancel the forum.
Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson vowed to issue an injunction halting the nationally televised debate if MSNBC failed to comply. Kucinich had filed a lawsuit seeking to be included just this morning.
The judge ruled it was a matter of fairness and Nevada voters would benefit from hearing from more than just Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama. Kucinich had been invited to participate in the 6 p.m. Pacific debate Tuesday, but that invitation was rescinded last week ... So set up a fourth podium.

The Nevada Supreme court overturned the decision. Dennis will not be in the debate. That sucks. |

I just took another test to see who my candidate of choice would be and guess what? Once again it said Dennis Kucinich! I couldn't believe it. I thought maybe the one Fluffy sent was biased somehow towards Dennis, but I guess not! This one I sat with several people who took it and they got different results. Looks like Dennis should be my candidate of choice after all!
The site I went on was: http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html
With this site if you don't know much about the issue, you can click on it and it will explain it as well as what a yes or no vote would mean. |

The order for me was Ron Paul, Gravel, and then Kucinich. I like that I can rank how important the issue is to me. That's a nice feature of that quiz. |

Fascism. We live it. So funny how people on the MSNBC thread we saying "NBC should be allowed to air who they want, it's a private broadcasting company."
OK, but doesn't that mean NBC is just showing the horses they'd like to see win? Yeah, I guess it's only for President of the country, why show diversity of opinion when we can just show 2 sides of the same coin? <SARCASM> |

i don't think it should be dictated to a privately owned company who they are going to show on their televised debates. that smacks of fascism to me.
yes, it does mean nbc will show whoever they want to win. yes, that is lame. yes, it is unfair. but do you really suppose it would make a huge difference? that wasn't a rhetorical question, either. i'd like to know if you do think it'd make a big difference, and why. if nbc was forced to have, say, paul/gravel/kucinich on it, don't you suppose they'd find a way to marginalize them as much as possible? seems to me if they have an interest in seeing a candidate/candidates, they'd try their best to put them in the spotlight and glorify others? |

I'll say it again. The general public shouldn't elect the president. The public is watching our republic die and voting for Bush and now Rommney and Clinton and a guy who doesn't even believe in evolution. So ya MSNBC not allowing Dennis is ridiculous and all but no it's not really going to make much of a difference when they barely ask Kucinich anything anyway. |

Dear Friend:
I am not in tonight's Presidential debate in South Carolina because, over the weekend, the Federal Communications Commission supported the arbitrary and deliberately exclusionary criteria imposed by CNN and its parent company, Time Warner, Inc., to keep me out. And, because that FCC decision came so late, there was absolutely no time to appeal or to challenge their denial of Americans' right to hear from the one and only candidate who is willing to demand ...
Immediate withdrawal of all troops from Iraq. No war with Iran. A national, not-for profit health care system. Repeal of the Patriot Act and a restoration of civil liberties. The cancellation of NAFTA and the rebuilding of the U.S. auto, steel, aerospace, shipping, and manufacturing industries. Carbon-free and nuclear-free energy policies.

As I am sure you will agree that "EXPOSURE" is a big part of the battle, just getting the word out there that Kucinich is an option requires that he be included in those kinds of things. So many people I speak to don't even know he is an option or candidate and it is hard to battle that when you aren't even allowed to be "seen" as a canditate or choice. Just my thoughts on it. |

I didn't even really know about Dennis till I joined the boards here. I even had my mom then take the presidential candidate's test, and she was surprised she got Dennis. If Obama gets elected, I would hope he'd be smart and wise enough to choose Dennis as his running mate. If that happens, Dennis would then be known throughout the country!
It's an outside chance, but it would put him out front. |

I'd give you 1000:1 odds that Kucinich would become Obama's running mate. 1. Obama would never pick him. 2. Kucinich would not agree to be part of an administration that didn't agree with his core principles and platforms. |

Ya it's a real downer when I try to talk to someone about the horse race and they don't even know who the guy is or anything he stands for. I'm just so sick of the election process and corruption that goes with it. |
