So I had this thought the other day, and I may be a conspiracy theorist, but let me know what you think.

Alex Jones and Paul Watson are probably some of the biggest voices for the 9/11 movement and such stuff. Now consider that they are probably the best two people for being a sort of double agent that in fact works for the government. Here's my reasoning. They, themselves are so over the top and out there that they can discredit themselves better than anyone else possibly could. It's a well known tactic by spin doctors and PR people to have certain people such as actors etc. get behind something because it loses it's legitimacy. Because they themselves seem so good at alienating people, and discrediting themselves and a movement for truth I have no other hypothesis other than that they must in fact be working for the government or another organization to discredit the idea that the government knew about this.

I personally think that I'm on to something. Any other ideas?

that could be it. however, the flaw is that not a whole ton of people know of or care about alex jones and paul watson. if they wanted to discredit the theory (i won't call it a movement,) they'd pick someone more in a limelight. no one really high profile, but someone just well known enough to be in public view but not so well known and popular that they'd be everywhere and risk more people getting behind it. but your whole premise implies an actual 9/11 conspiracy, which may or may not be true.

no, i think that at best, paul watons and alex jones are simply sub-par journalists with a specific agenda, a belief and a strong conviction to that belief, as well as the balls to try to do something about it. i also gleaned, largely from saying things like "we of the 9/11 truth movement," they long to be part of a legitimate 60s era type political or social movement. they just want to be part of something bigger and more important than themselves, and in doing so feel better about themselves in terms of importance.

at worst, they're sensationalists that seek recognizion through yelling at the top of their voices, and mongering the fear of those that would listen. but i don't really believe that about them. more likely they're the first thing i wrote.

death to false metal.

Ya, I just wonder what motivates them and the more I thought about it the more I thought it must be a conspiracy. Well if we find out that's the truth then let it be said I figured it out.
